Hey guys! So some of you know that I've been doing Weight Watchers for a little over the month so I thought it would be good to do a post on how it's going, what my expectations were, etc.
I've always been a little "soft" around the middle. It's mostly genetic but I've always kind of eaten whatever I wanted. I also felt I had an unhealthy relationship with food, being that if it's in front of me i feel very compelled to eat it. I started about six weeks ago and from the first week I lost weight. It was only like a half a pound or pound but it was something so it kept me motivated. Every food is assigned a point value based on it's fat, carbs, protein and fiber and I'm allowed 29 points a day plus an extra 49 points for the week (which I use on the weekends to go out to eat).
I started at 137 and am down 7 pounds. My goal weight is 127 (idk why, it's kind of random I know). I feel like I'm at a plateau now and it's going to be hard to get the last few off but I am excited because since I have been this height I have never been under 135!
I love Weight Watchers because it forces you to be accountable for what you eat and helps you make better decisions about food. Instead of butter I use Parkay. Instead of syrup on my pancakes I'll use apple butter. If I want that chocolate bar, I'll eat it but then eat better later. Fruits and veggies are also 0 points which is what makes it do-able for me because I love fruit. It's also encouraged me to start working out to see maximum benefit.
If you're at all questioning how to go about losing weight I highly recommend trying weight watchers. I'm really glad I did.
Hope everyone is having a great day!
Charmaine
